Welcome to the Passerina website!

In January 2007 an international studygroup which has the intention to keep and save the Passerina species in aviary has been created. At the moment the studygroup consists of 36Passerina breeders (from 6 European countries).

Due to the import stop in Europe it will become difficult to compose breeding couples. Nevertheless, some breeders still have single birds of certain species in their cages. And they don’t know about other breeders which have the opposite sex of the bird.

By exchanging birds and compose non-related couples more and more breeders will be able to keep and breed these beautiful birds.

The site also gives the opportunity to learn about each bird.

We hope the site will be useful and anyone who has Passerinas in his/her cages will become a member of our studygroup.
